General is a song that speaks to the youth who have to deal with a life of guns, gangs, violence, and drugs. Message music with a hard core groovy, reggae dub riddim, all will love General.

Yung J.R. also speaks about the social issues that cause these problems. The single/video
describes the everyday life style of many youth living in the ghetto/garrisons who feel they have
no choice but turning to a life of crime. He is also chants about the ramifications of turning to
violence. Pleading with the youth to stop the violence, Yung J.R. sings that no one is better than
the next person. The song ends pushing equal rights and justice while expressing for young
people to unify, organize, and centralize.
